The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has stated that Macao offers a "unique testimony to the meeting of aesthetic, cultural, religious, architectural and technological influences from East and West." To learn more about Macao's world-class heritage, Mr. Lao from the Macau Cultural Heritage Reinventing Studies Association (MCHRSA) will share with us what puts Macao's cultural heritage on the global map. However, the work of preserving and promoting awareness about Macao's cultural heritage needs the participation of local civil society. Mr. Lao will therefore also share the experiences of his organisation in facilitating community engagement and fostering state-society collaboration.
