Burning foil painting is a traditional art form recognized as intangible cultural heritage. By using foil to create designs on paper and then applying heat, the foil undergoes a chemical reaction that produces a variety of vibrant colors, resulting in distinctive and eye-catching artworks.
In this workshop, you’ll discover the history and cultural significance of burning foil painting, as well as learn hands-on techniques from experienced instructors. You’ll then apply your new skills to design and create your own burning foil fan!
