TuesDates+ - Tues to be a Community Maker: African Drumming Experience with Children
"Gather Up, Bu-ddy Up, Level UP!"
Looking for a meaningful way to take a breather, connect with local kids, and build something wonderful together?
In our upcoming TuesDates + session, it is "Tues to be a Community Maker"!
We are bringing university students and local children together for an African Drumming Workshop. Known traditionally as the "drum of gathering", the djembe is all about creating harmony through rhythm and teamwork.
In this 1.5-hour hands-on session, you will pair up with a child partner to explore the vibrant beats of West Africa side-by-side. No prior musical experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and have fun with the kids!
Date: 3 November 2026 (Tuesday)
Time: 2:30-4:00 pm
Venue: JC3 302-3
Medium of Instruction: English
Quota: 25 (Welcome all Local & Non-local UG students) (First-come-first-served)
Fee: Free of charge
